This course is aimed at those who wish to pursue technically demanding careers in aerospace-related industries (including project management) or research.
Modul program
Year 1: Mandatory modules: introduction to aeronautics and astronautics; mechanics of flight; mechanics of solids; modelling and computing; design; electrical systems; fluid mechanics; mathematics for engineering sciences; mechanics; properties of materials; thermodynamics. Year 2: Mandatory modules: aerodynamics; aerothermodynamics; aircraft structures; astronautics; computing; dynamics and control; engineering design and structural analysis methods; materials; mathematics for aerospace and ship engineering; mathematics for aerospace engineering; mechanics of flight; propulsion. Year 3: 9 mandatory taught modules (structural design; aerospace design 1 and 2; applied aerodynamics; management 1 and 2; manufacturing with metals; materials service performance; individual project). Year 4: 4 mandatory modules (engineering management studies; statistics for engineering systems; group design project; multidisciplinary design project); plus choice of a wide range of options.
