Ringkasan program
Programme develops students' skills and their understanding of the role of teaching assistants working in a range of educational contexts, including early years, primary, special and secondary school settings; students have the opportunity to: enhance their professional skills and understanding; plan for their own continuing professional development and gather evidence towards Higher-level teaching assistant status; study teaching and learning strategies while developing an understanding of National Curriculum subjects and their application; the flexible structure of the course is designed to include work-based learning so that students are able to continue in employment through the course; however, students need to attend campus-based sessions once a week.
Modul program
Level 1: Introduces academic study skills; explores role of learning practitioner and develops understanding of literacy; covers literacy, numeracy, science, information and communication technology, as well as subject knowledge. Level 2: Provides opportunities to study specialist subject in more depth and to engage in research; modules also support the learning practitioner's role in meeting individual needs, assessment and evaluation.
