Modul program
Year 1: Introduces the multidisciplinary nature of architecture; studio projects develop students' skills and awareness within an evolving architectural agenda (from furniture making and life-drawing to architectural designs for real sites); classes include history and theory of architecture, building technology and environment, media and communication; electives from classes offered in any subject in the University. Year 2: Students apply their developing skills and architectural sensibility to a series of small-scale architectural projects in real locations, both rural and urban. Year 3: Students explore real-life issues in studio projects, to help prepare for the 1st year out in practice; issues include constraints to creative work, urban locations and multi-occupancy housing; other areas of the curriculum focus on contemporary concepts and concerns; optional professional year spent in practice. Year 4: Studio projects culminate in a complex (usually urban) multi-functional building designed to a considerable degree of resolution and professional competence; students also choose and develop an area of personal study and produce a dissertation.
