The BTEC Extended Diploma in Uniformed Public Services is a level 3 course that comprises of 180 credits. A BTEC Extended Diploma is an academic course with practical elements. You learn by completing projects and assignments that are based on realistic workplace situations, activities and demands. As well as learning about the employment area you have chosen, you develop the skills you need to start a career. It is equivalent to 3 A levels which means when you have finished the course you can choose whether to get a job straight away or go into higher education first. The BTEC Extended Diploma will be studied on a full-time basis over 2 years. It is equally suitable for school leavers and mature students.
