Ringkasan program
Civil Engineering problems require the application of analytical, decision-making and critical thinking skills; this course provides students with the technical knowledge and skills needed to develop these skills; it also equips students with a range of transferable skills; an ideal combination for a leading career in civil engineering; the course consists of 120 credits of core and optional taught modules along with a 60 credit major individual research-based project.
Modul program
Core modules: research preparation (10 credits); research project organisation and design (10 credits); plus 1 from (all 10 credits): steel structures; pavement engineering; geotechnical engineering; plus options from: advanced pavement materials; advanced concrete structures; construction planning and risk; critical state soil mechanics; finite element analysis in structural mechanics; advanced properties of concrete; coastal engineering; construction management processes; earthquake engineering and structural dynamics; mathematical techniques in PDE for engineers; traffic engineering.
