Civil Law research at present is pursued within the Centre for the Study of the Civil Law Tradition, established in 1995; members of the Centre have focused their research on the interaction between the civil and common Law in modern legal systems and on the law of ancient Rome; key publications in civil law include: The Civil Law Tradition in Scotland (1995), edited by Professor Evans-Jones; The Civilian and Scots Law (1997), co-edited by Professor Carey Miller; and Unjustified Enrichment (2003) by Professor Evans Jones.
