Ringkasan program

The course aims to produce a new generation of product design engineers who combine engineering expertise with the confidence to work with, develop and manage knowledge-based computer aided engineering systems to support engineering design; the course enhances participants' understanding and practical experience of information technology, particularly in engineering design, in the successful development and application of CAED systems in industry; students gain a thorough understanding of the methods, techniques and tools used in computer-supported product design and development, enabling them to make significant contributions to wealth generation by developing better products in a shorter time at a lower cost; these skills can be applied to, and practised in, industry-based design projects offered on the course.

Modul program

Core modules: CAED systems; design management; information technology; product modelling and visualisation; systems integration (see testimonial); postgraduate group project; postgraduate individual project. Optional modules: CAED software systems design; knowledge engineering and management for engineers; product design techniques; project management; design methods; modelling of manufacturing and business systems.
