Ringkasan program
The course is an interdisciplinary programme that focuses on the principles and instruments that underpin biodiversity policy and law at an international level; the programme is designed for biodiversity policymakers and administrators with experience in international conservation work, and those who wish to strengthen their training in the legal regulation of biodiversity management; the programme is delivered in conjunction with the Kent law school who offer a number of elective modules in environmental law.
Modul program
Core modules: Foundations of natural science for conservation; social science perspectives on conservation; research methods for natural sciences; research methods for social sciences. Plus 3 from the following: Advanced topics in ecology; biodiversity preservation in international law and policy; conservation and community development; economics of biodiversity conservation; ecotourism and rural development field course; facilitation skills for conservation managers; integrated species conservation and management; international wildlife trade; leadership skills for conservation managers; managing protected areas; population and evolutionary biology; principles and practice of ecotourism; special topics in conservation; trade, economics, regulation and the environment; students take these additional modules: Biodiversity preservation in international law and policy; dissertation project.
