The main aims of this degree are to provide students with a broad background in the wide range of disciplines involved in construction management; the course equips the student with the knowledge and skills necessary to pursue a successful career within the industry; construction management covers a wide range of disciplines, from economics to human resource management; while formal lectures give students a through understanding of theory, the real focus of this course is on the application of that theory in practical situations, and the development of key skills; the chance to take part in a work placement gives students the opportunity to test their new skills in a professional environment as well as giving them a real insight into the demands of professional practice; this degree provides sound preparation for a variety of roles within construction management from site management, project management to contracts management.

Modul program

Year 1: Core modules are contextual skills for the built environment; an introduction to technology and design; built environment in the economy; introduction to civil law and legislation; the practice of management. Year 2: Core modules are environmental services and construction technology; measurement and analysis of prices; construction resource management; project administration. Year 3: Core modules are construction technology and innovation; project management; dissertation or major project; the construction business.
