Tutors with journalistic track records provide an understanding of the essential theory and practical skills associated with modern broadcast journalism, focusing on a cross-platform approach; students complete live and pre-recorded programmes for broadcast in our industrial placements, as well as the colleges own internet, fm and print outlets; students are part of developing Belfast Mets internet television station, as well as receive industrial experience in media production companies and online television; students focus on interview and presentation techniques along with voice coaching for various broadcast formats; there is a thorough grounding in media law, ethics and public affairs; this is the first higher national diploma in the UK to be awarded accreditation pending status from the industry-recognised broadcast journalism training council.
