Ringkasan program
This course is a carefully structured work placement and gives the student plenty of time in schools or other educational settings; currently students choose from placements in primary or secondary schools as well as colleges and a wide variety of other educational settings, such as outdoor pursuit centres, centres to re-engage disaffected young people, heritage sites and art galleries; this means students have the opportunity to experience work in a range of educational settings and to build up a sound portfolio of professional and transferable skills; this course develops the student's mathematical and practical skills and their understanding of teaching, learning and education, and allows the students to share their enthusiasm to help inspire others.
Modul program
Year 1: New horizons; perspectives on learning; enhancing algebra with ICT; pupils, schools and society. Year 2: Calculus with geometric applications; inclusion and diversity; modelling and methods; from vision to reality?; professional contexts; measuring and interpreting the world. Year 3: Modelling with differential equations; a 21st Century curriculum; independent study; mathematical pedagogy and educational practice; international dimensions; independent study/project.
