This course is a carefully structured work placement and gives the student plenty of time in schools or other educational settings; currently students choose from placements in primary or secondary schools as well as colleges and a wide variety of other educational settings, such as outdoor pursuit centres, centres to re-engage disaffected young people, heritage sites and art galleries; this means students have the opportunity to experience work in a range of educational settings and to build up a sound portfolio of professional and transferable skills; this course is designed to develop the student�s knowledge and understanding of sport , physical education, learning and teaching and education; students get the opportunity to develop a range of practical skills along with an understanding of the necessary underpinning theories; this course has a high level of real 'hands-on' experience and students learn how to use their skills to inspire others to be more active and to excel at sport and exercise; students are encouraged to hone their coaching, leadership and teaching skills through practical exercises, field trips, laboratory work and placement opportunities.

Modul program

Year 1: Sport and physical education; perspectives on learning; young people and physical activity; pupils, schools and society. Year 2: Learning through sport and PE; inclusion and diversity; sports development, promotion and leadership; from vision to reality?professional contexts; measuring and interpreting the world. Year 3: Measurement and evaluation in sport and exercise; a 21st Century curriculum; research techniques in sport; contemporary issues in sport and physical education; international dimensions; independent study/project.
