Students undertake a research project in a specialist area of electronic and electrical engineering alongside taught modules that help them to succeed in their project; subject areas include semiconductors, electrical machines and drives, and antennas and wireless communications.
Modul program
Research techniques and thesis preparation; individual research project; optional modules: 7 or 8 from the following: multi-sensor data fusion; design projects; reliability and failure; advanced instrumentation; electromagnetic compatibility; antennas and propagation; energy utilisation; motion control and servo drive systems; advanced computer architectures; operating systems; high speed circuit design; high speed electronic devices; optical communication devices and systems; integrated circuit technology; visual information engineering; computational vision; video analysis and processing; modelling of electrical machines; microsystem packaging; digital communications; mobile networks and low level protocols; advanced signal processing; systems architecture design.
