Ringkasan program
This programme embraces not only strategy and policy within the firm but also the national and international regulation that shapes the relationship between managers and workers around the world; students are encouraged to develop a critical approach and to value rigorous empirical research; students develop an intellectual confidence and independence of judgement to enable them to deal with difficult employment issues.
Modul program
1st year: students attend general doctoral seminar and classes in methodology and in relevant industrial relations topics and work on a detailed research proposal; when this has been successfully defended in a major review (normally within 12 months of entry) students are upgraded to PhD registration; department specialisms include: impact of Unions; evaluating human resource management policies; public sector industrial relations/human resource management; employee motivation; comparative industrial relations/human resource management; Japanese industrial relations/human resource management; industrial relations in the EU; organisational change; commitment and trust relations.
