Engineering is an intellectually demanding profession, mainly because of the wide range of skills that are needed to be employed; students are expected to be good at mathematics, to have a sound grasp of basic sciences, to be inventive and creative, to be able to sell ideas to clients and colleagues and, in due course, to organise and lead fellow professionals.
Modul program
Level 1: Engineering mathematics and computing; materials and mechanics; energy conversion; engineering communication design and practice; applied mechanics; electrical circuits and devices. Level 2: Engineering mathematics; materials and structures; electronics and microprocessors; fluid mechanics and thermodynamics; electrical and mechanical systems; engineering design and practice. Level 3: Engineering mathematics; engineering design and practice; fluid mechanics; geotechnics; stress analysis or European language; economics, resource and safety management; mechanics of structures; 2 courses from: civil engineering practice with engineering geology field course; design of structural elements; dynamics; European language. Level 4: Engineering project; advanced structural analysis; geotechnics; civil engineering hydraulics; engineering materials; dynamics; safety and reliability engineering; approved course; engineering design and practice; 1 from: dynamics; engineering management; functions of management; approved course; or engineering project abroad. Suitable candidates may transfer to the MEng course in the 1st 2 years.
