Year 1: Introduction to theories of performance; key critical practices of twentieth-century theatre; written and spoken French; French foundations; students explore the links between French language and drama.
Years 2 and 4: Variety of options include: study of play texts; historical periods; the theatre of other countries; performance of race, sexuality and gender; individual and group projects; French literature; linguistics; culture or film.
Year 3: Spent abroad in a French-speaking country, either studying at university, as an English language assistant in school, or possibly in other approved paid employment.
