Course consists of 2 compulsory modules: protecting human rights: human rights law I; and either theory and practice in criminology or criminal justice processes; 2 further modules, 1 from list A and 1 from list B; list A: fear, crime and media; criminal justice research; punishment and social control; penal policy and practice; policing; state power, crime and conflict; sentencing in the criminal justice system; management practice in the criminal justice system; management theory in the criminal justice system; comparative youth justice; transitional justice and conflict transformation; restorative justice; gender, sexuality and violence; list B: equality and law; group rights and international law; conflict regulation; conflict resolution; ECHR and current issues: human rights law II; theory of human rights; children�s rights; women�s rights as human rights; dissertation of 15,000-20,000 words.
