Year 1 core modules: Introduction to computer hardware, operating systems and unix tools; professional and personal development; software development; web development tools; an introduction to communications and telematics. Year 2 core modules: The software development life cycle; web programming; introduction to system and network services administration; modelling persistent data; introduction to business processes for web developers; user centred design and human computer interaction; interactive web programming; modelling persistent data; commercial database applications. Year 3: Sandwich year. Final year core modules: Agile methodologies; e-commerce (implementation, management and security); further issues in system and network services administration; professional issues in software engineering.
