Ringkasan program
The law course is a qualifying law degree: which means that graduates who wish to pursue a career in the legal profession are eligible to continue vocational training on the Legal Practice Course (LPC) for solicitors or the Bar Vocational Course (BVC) for barristers; in addition to the written and oral language modules, the German course offers a wide range of options: literature, sociolinguistics, culture and business German; the language work includes weekly meetings in small groups with a native speaker; in addition to learning to converse more fluently in German, students also acquire other useful skills such as learning how to give presentations and lead group discussions; students also learn about British-German cultural differences and will therefore be well placed to make the most of their stay in a German-speaking country in the 3rd year.
Modul program
Year 1: Legal method; legal skills; constitutional law; administrative law; law of contract; criminal law; European Union law (institutions and remedies); legal method; language modules. Years 2 and 4: Land law; law of tort; equity and law of trusts; introduction to civil law; European Union law; students spend Year 3 in a German university, returning for finals in Year 4.
