Ringkasan program
Core course: designed to give students general grounding in medical imaging; some lectures are designed to update knowledge in topics such as radiation physics, computing, electronics and experimental statistics; others deal with the clinical applications of physics such as nuclear medicine, ultrasound imaging, MRI and rehabilitation engineering; in addition, there are lectures on anatomy, physiology and biochemistry to provide basic medical knowledge; lectures are supported by practicals, demonstration, and attachments to staff members; in 2nd term, 3 topics are studied in detail: all students study nuclear medicine, and select 2 others from a list of 12 including: radiotherapy, magnetic resonance imaging, positron emission tomography and image processing and image analysis; there are also a series of clinical tutorial demonstrations in which students become familiar with how clinicians work, attend operations, etc; the final term (MSc students only) is spent on a short research project.
