The course is designed to be both physically and mentally stimulating and give the student the opportunity to gain experience and nationally-recognised specialist qualifications in outdoor activities, as well as the Foundation Degree; learning is undertaken through a combination of lectures, seminars, visits, individual assignments, skills instruction and work experience.
Modul program
Year 1: Compulsory modules; leisure in the environment; outdoor leisure provision and operation; industrial work placement (6 weeks); performance in the outdoors; countryside leisure; professional development; adventure tourism; business foundations. Year 2: Compulsory modules: facility management; marketing communications; development training; business practice; major integrated assignment; business operations.
