The aim of this course is to empower pre-hospital care practitioners to safely and confidently assess, treat and refer patients to the most appropriate health care provider; working in the pre-hospital arena requires motivated and enthusiastic students who are prepared to work hard to achieve their goals; the course is designed to empower the student with the theoretical understanding of illness and injury; placements provide actual patient contact in a variety of situations to develop the skills necessary to work at practitioner level.
