Performance studies is dedicated to the making and analysis of many forms and styles of live event; through the practice of theory and the theory of practice students will be training from the outset and being challenged to think about performance in new and innovative ways; students will make group performances and solo performances, give lectures and present their intellectual ideas through performance; they are encouraged to develop their own artistic practice, informed by their own particular interests; they may already have an interest in movement, design, multi-media, new and innovative theatre, and performance styles from around the world; whatever style of performance or theatre students wish to make, they will be equipped with the right tools to bring their ideas and imaginings to fruition; film and television provides a rigorous and challenging programme of study, combining practical and theoretical approaches to the examination of film and television productions, institutions and audiences.
