The University actively seeks to promote and facilitate Gaelic medium education through Initial Teacher Education; this course is offered on a non-modular basis; on completion students are recommended to the General Teaching for Scotland for provisional registration.
Modul program
Professional focus on Gaelic medium education; learning and teaching in schools: (professional development; learning and teaching; social justice; placing this in context within different curriculum areas); learning and teaching in schools-the developing professional: provides opportunities for students to gain a wider and deeper knowledge and understanding of professional issues and developments relevant to the teaching profession in order to support achievement of all aspects of the Standard for Initial Teacher Education (SITE) as required before entry to the teaching profession as induction year teachers; 2 school experiences.
