Programme covers the National Curriculum core subjects (English, mathematics, science); students also study the National Curriculum foundation subjects and religious education; teaching and learning modules underpin and develop the curriculum studies; students are also able to develop a specific specialist subject; there is a period of school experience in each academic year; successful completion of this course leads to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), subject to satisfactory performance in skills tests.
