Ringkasan program
In years 1 and 2 students take a range of modules which provide them with a thorough grounding in the key concepts, theories and schools of thought in both psychology and sociology; they develop a sound understanding of the historical development and contemporary applications of psychological and sociological knowledge, as well as understanding the philosophical debates that underpin psycho-social interpretations of the world around us; years 3 and 4 provide an in-depth understanding of a broad range of substantive debates within the disciplines of psychology and sociology. Year 1: Studying society; introduction to psychology; academic and study skills; thinking sociologically. Year 2: Psychology (individual, social, developmental and cognitive); sociology of knowledge, belief, science and health; understanding statistics; understanding social welfare. Year 3: Applied sociological theories; 2 core areas of psychology; research methods; other options in psychology and sociology. Year 4: Research project; a core area of psychology; current debates in sociology; other options in psychology and sociology; enabling employability.
