Ringkasan program
This course is an honours degree and professional qualification in social work, externally validated and monitored by the General Social Care Council. The aim of this course is to equip students with the knowledge and skills to enable them to meet the professional and academic requirements for qualification in social work; in addition to the academic modules listed, there is an observational placement in a social work agency in the 1st year and 2 assessed practice placements in contrasting settings of 100 days in each of Years 2 and 3.
Modul program
Year 1: ethics, values and the legal context of social work; knowledge, evidence and practice; social work theories and their application to practice (observational placement); and social work in society. Year 2: social work with adults; social work with children and families; powers, duties and accountability in social work; practice 1 communications skills and partnership working (with 1 module linked to a placement of 100 days in a Social Work). Year 3: wellbeing across the life course; undergraduate major project; transition into professional practice; practice 2 analytical thinking and decision making (2 modules linked to a 100 day placement in a Social Work agency).
