Ringkasan program

This 3 year honours degree programme is offered in collaboration with the university of Ulster; years 1 and 2 are studied at BMC, year 3 studies take place at the university of Ulster's magee campus; although the programme includes underpinning learning in the social sciences, such as social policy, psychology, sociology and law, the focus of the programme is on the development of skills, values and knowledge required for practice; students must successfully complete a preparation for practice module prior to undertaking practice learning.

Modul program

Year 1: Introduction to lifespan psychology; introduction to service user groups I and II; social work theories and methods A and B; introduction to social work practice I and II; introduction to social enquiry; oppressed groups; preparation for practice. Year 2: Social work law I; assessment and risk assessment in practice settings; AOP and the developing practitioner. Year 3: Evidence-based practice; social work law II; family and child care; interventions in practice (the multi-disciplinary context). Assessment Method: Assignments; class presentations; examinations; practice assessments and portfolios.
