The course aims to provide experienced professionals with relevant experience in this field with an opportunity to study at an advanced level; it aims to enable experienced professionals and managers in the field to examine and extend their knowledge and understanding, informed by recent theory, literature and developments in policy and practice; the key features are that it is organised to fit around and support busy work schedules and that it updates and integrates professional competence and theoretical knowledge and understanding; module assignments and the research thesis are linked to professional practice and service needs.
