This innovative course seeks to develop coaching and sports development excellence through the understanding of several key areas academic, professional and managerial knowledge and skills that are directly applicable to the coaching and sports development sectors; students have the added value of gaining coaching awards and relevant work experience in related fields throughout the studies; students also get opportunities to develop their employability and enterprise skills; this is a must have course for anyone considering a career within coaching or the sports development sectors; successful students can progress onto accelerated degree programmes in a sport, exercise, health, leisure and physical education.
Modul program
Modules include: Research project; principles of sports coaching; applied sports coaching; the evolution of sports development; managing sports development; the sport and leisure industry; anatomy and physiology for sport and exercise; nutrition for sport and exercise; field-based fitness testing for sport and exercise; work-based experience; analysis of sports performance; exercise for specific groups; training and fitness for sport and exercise; sport and exercise psychology; physical activity, lifestyle and wellbeing; small business enterprise.
