This course is suitable for those seeking a sound educational background in the areas of sports science and outdoor education by gaining a nationally-recognised qualification; parts of the course are offered at the Plas Menai National Watersports Centre; students have the opportunity to study towards other qualifications, including first aid and various coaching awards.
Modul program
All years: Core modules: research skills; functional anatomy; exercise physiology; behavioural sciences; applied sport science; psychology of sport; plus optional modules: outdoor activities (held at Plas Menai National Watersports Centre) including foundation skills, coaching skills, and skills development and leadership; sports nutrition; biomechanics; practical sports (coaching); practical sports (fitness and performance); sports medicine; research project common skills.
