Learning is based around studio and workshop practice governed by a personal programme of study; art, craft and design interpretations of practice are all supported and our highly experienced course team recognises the importance of having a personal and distinctive approach to students' work and study; there are also ample opportunities to collaborate, exchange ideas and broaden students' perspectives; there is a core lecture and seminar programme covering such topics as: Labels and branding; materials; fashion design; lifestyle, celebrity and consumer culture; styling and forecasting; studio practice; image and communication; freelance practices; product and services development; retailing; applied and pure research; self development; innovation and entrepreneurship; industry and technology; professionalism, employment and markets; fashion history; ethics; issues of globalisation and trans-cultural analysis.
