Students study theatre and performance in historical and contemporary context and develop the skills of leadership, self and group management, initiative, personal responsibility, interpersonal skills, decision-making and independent learning; students study the practice of theatre; the theoretical debates arising from theatre as a live medium in the context of its heritage and history; the creative significance of theatre production and the business and marketing of theatre performance; students develop the practical skills needed to execute an artistic production process using 1 or more of the core skills of writing, directing, acting, devising or applied drama or digital practice.

Modules include: Histories 1 (pre-20th Century); perspectives 1; ensemble production; academic practice; plus options from: acting: essential skills; applied drama practice: an introduction; devising: dramatic adaptation; digital performance 1; director�s theatre; writing in context.
