Ringkasan program

This program is designed to train technicians to perform electrical tests and repairs concerned with maintenance and performance evaluation of various electro-mechanical and solid state relays to prevent and remedy abnormal behavior or failure of transmission and distribution lines and equipment; connect test apparatus to troubled circuits; analyze test results and interpret electrical diagrams to locate defective relays and make adjustments or remove relay for repair; analyze test data to determine performance characteristics of relays and effect of system modifications on relay performance and prepare reports of work performed.

The modules are as follows: CIS 1113 COMPUTER CONCEPTS WITH APPLICATIONS, EET 1104 FUNDAMENTALS OF ELECTRICITY, EET 1244 CIRCUIT ANALYSIS I, EPT 1103 PRINT READING, EPT 1123 ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS COMPONENTS, EPT 2063 ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS PROTECTION, EPT 2113 SUBSTATION RELAYS, EPT 2313 SUBSTATION OPERATIONS, EPT 2403 ADVANCED ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, EPT 2403 ADVANCED ELECTRICAL SYSTEMS, EPT 2513 SUBSTATION CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE, EPT 2603 CAPSTONE, FPST 1313 INTRODUCTION TO OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY, MATH 1513 COLLEGE ALGEBRA (A), MATH 1613 TRIGONOMETRY (A) OR MATH 1715 CAN REPLACE BOTH MATH 1513 and MATH1613, MATH 1715 PRECALCULUS.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants must have completed high school core curriculum requirements such as four units in English - grammar, composition and literature, three units in mathematics - algebra I and above, two units in history - must include one unit of American history, two units in lab science - biology, chemistry, physics or any lab science certified by the school district, one unit in citizenship skills - economics, geography, government, non-western culture, three units in other - additional units of subjects above and/or from computer science and/or foreign language. Applicants should have graduated from an accredited high school or should have earned a General Education Diploma (GED). In addition to this, international students should have obtained a minimum TOEFL score of 500 (paper-based), or 61 (internet-based); or an International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 6.0.
