Ringkasan program
Completion of the B.S. requirements in three years can be achieved by taking courses in the summers, and additional electives in some semesters. Students with Advanced Placement standing in some courses can do this most easily. It is also possible for those who do not wish to stay in Troy over the summer to take equivalent courses elsewhere and receive transfer credit. Completion of the requirements in 3 1/2 years is another option. Advanced Placement and additional courses in some academic semesters may permit this to be done with minimal summer work.

The modules include CHEM 1110 Chemistry I with Advanced Lab, MATH 1010 Calculus I, PHYS 1100 Physics I, CHEM 2110 Equilibrium Chemistry and Quantitative Analysis, CHEM 2120 Experimental Chemistry I: Analytical Techniques, CHEM 2250 Organic Chemistry I, MATH 2400 Introduction to Differential Equations, BIOL 1010 Introduction to Biology, CHEM 2030 Inorganic Chemistry I, CHEM 2260 Organic Chemistry II, CHEM 2290 Experimental Chemistry II: Synthesis and Characterization, CHEM 4900 Senior Seminar, CHEM 4950 Senior Experience.

A TOEFL score of at least 230 CBT, 88 iBT, or 570 PBT is required. For students not able to take the TOEFL, the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) may be substituted for the TOEFL. An IELTS score of at least 7.0 is expected. Only the academic format is accepted.SAT (critical reading, math, and writing) or ACT (which must include the optional writing component) is required. SAT Subject Tests in a math and a science is required for accelerated program applicants only (or ACT, which must include the optional writing component, in lieu of SAT and SAT Subject Tests). The applicants who are best suited for Rensselaer will have completed four years of English, four years of mathematics through pre-calculus, three years of science, three years of social studies and/or history.
