The Hamilton Scholars Program is a unique opportunity for undergraduate students offered jointly by the College of Management and the College of Humanities and Social Sciences at NC State. Hamilton Scholars are a select group of highly motivated students. To enrich their experience at NC State, they participate in activities such as special lectures, plant tours, and scholars’ banquets. Activities are designed to facilitate sharing of experiences by the Scholars. Some of the activities will be conducted in conjunction with other Scholars programs on campus, including the Thomas Jefferson, Benjamin Franklin, Eli Whitney and DaVinci scholars. Each of the two colleges provides a coordinator who serves as advisor to the Scholars. Each Hamilton Scholar completes a Business Administration, Accounting or Economics degree as well as an International Studies degree which focuses on a specific area of the world or a thematic area of interest, along with study of a foreign language. These concentration areas include: Africa; East and Southeast Asia; Europe; Latin America; South Asia and Middle East; International Cultural Studies; International Economy and Environment; International Relations.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Freshmen are encouraged to apply for admission to the Hamilton Scholars Program after spending a minimum of one fulltime semester at NC State. Other currently enrolled NC State students may also apply to the program. These students are normally expected to have a GPA of 3.00 or better and should apply to the program before completing the sophomore year. Transfer students from outside the university will also be considered for admission on an individual basis.
