Ringkasan program

This program is designed to provide students an understanding of the cognitive, physical, social and emotional development for working with young children. Opportunities to apply this knowledge in practical experiences are incorporated in the curriculum. The curriculum topics include, but are not limited, to developmental ages and stages, health and safety, curriculum planning, assessment and family involvement. Employment opportunities are available in public and private preschools, early care educational settings, early intervention programs, head start, hospitals, campus child development centers, rehabilitation clinics and recreation centers.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Applicants who are at least 16 years of age and who meet one of the following criteria: Graduated from high school, earned a high school general equivalency diploma (GED), eligible to pursue a GED, and enrolled in high school and at the college at the same time. They cannot receive an associate degree unless they show proof of high school or GED completion. ACT or COMPASS, COMPASS is a diagnostic computerized placement and assessment system developed by ACT. Students must provide ACT scores of 18 or above in subject areas (mathematics, English, and reading) or take the COMPASS test before meeting with an advising center staff member and being enrolled in classes. Students have a cumulative GPA of 2.0-4.0 and have earned a passing grade in a 100-level or higher course from a regionally accredited institution.
