This campus is conveniently located in downtown Rapid City, SD. The campus has been serving students in the western South Dakota area since 1941, and is still considered University’s home campus. In addition to its strong business and information technology curriculum, the campus offers excellent degree programs in athletic training, veterinary technology, and paralegal studies. It is located at 321 Kansas City, easily accessible from just about anywhere in the Rapid City area, and is convenient to Interstate 90, Highway 16 and Highway 79.

National American University provides on-campus housing to the students through residence halls located near all classes, the library, gym, and weight room. The residence hall consists of three living areas: east, central and west wings. The east and central wings have three floors each and the west wing has four floors. Each floor has 8-10 rooms. The main lobby consists of a lounge area with a large screen television and several computer work stations. A kitchenette, vending machines, and laundry facilities are also available; services offered to students include: free parking space (but limited), wireless Internet access (with monthly fee), and rental televisions. The rooms in the Women’s West Wing can accommodate up to four women and have a private bathroom. The rooms in Men’s West Wing can accommodate up to four men and have a private bathroom. The Central Wing will be in use for SDSM and T and WDT students beginning the fall quarter. The East wing is a non-traditional student wing made up of mostly single rooms. Students who live on campus are more likely to obtain a degree, have a higher grade point average, and experience higher degree of satisfaction.
