Ringkasan program
This curriculum in Mental Health provides theory, skills and knowledge used in the field of mental healthmental retardation and alcohol and drug abuse. The program prepares the graduate to obtain employment in a variety of human service and mental health settings under the supervision of a professional or as a part of a service team, including agencies that provide counseling services, rehabilitation training, direct care to clients, probation, corrections, treatment for alcohol and drug dependency, and psychiatric care. Students who complete courses and field work required by the Texas Department of State Health Services Professional Licensing and Certification (formerly the Texas Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse - TCADA) will be eligible to take the licensure exam for Licensed Chemical Dependency Counselors (LCDC).
