The English Department offers students an opportunity to increase their knowledge of language and their appreciation of literature as ways of understanding human relationships and humane values. In addition, the Department offers a variety of writing courses from introductory to advanced study in journalism, creative writing and non-fiction writing.

Residence Life at Adrian College offers far more than just a place to sleep. There are several different living environments from which to select including substance-free halls, academically-focused themed housing and halls that remain open during semester breaks. All living environments are tobacco-free and offer a variety of opportunities to explore a full range of activities and interests that develop practical skills. Features in residence halls include TV lounge with cable, recreational areas and study rooms, full kitchen facilities including a microwave, coin operated washers and dryers, free local phone and voice mail service provided in student rooms, and wireless and network hookup available in each room.
