The NCTA Agribusiness major focuses on the fundamentals of agribusiness operations including accounting, finance, marketing and management. Throughout their studies, students are required to utilize computer applications and are exposed to a wide variety of business software. Diversity has been built into the Agribusiness major which allows students the opportunity to tailor their program of study. A number of options are available to meet student needs and there is room in the program for elective courses from other majors on campus. An Agribusiness major complements all other majors offered at NCTA and many students choose to minor or double major in this area.

Residence halls are available for convenient on-campus living. All first year NCTA students will have the opportunity to experience residence hall life. Each dormitory is staffed with a dorm parent and security personnel. Dormitory living promotes the building of life-long friendships, creation of memories and fun and monthly birthday parties, holiday activities, sporting events, ice cream socials, hot dog roasts in the fireplace, guest speakers and other activities foster group participation. Students don’t have to live in a residence hall to take advantage of the great food and low prices offered by NCTA’s cafeteria. Fourteen meals per week are provided in the cafeteria from monday morning through friday at noon. Located in the lower level of the women’s residence hall, the cafeteria offers full menus including a variety of entrees, a salad bar, soft-serve ice cream, soft drinks, juices and milk. Breads and desserts complete the menu choices. The men’s and women’s residence halls at NCTA have the capacity for approximately 150 students. Each hall has a live-in adult supervisor (dorm parent) that oversees operations, functions and concerns of students within the halls. Security personal also helps monitor the safety in the halls.
