By specializing in Multispecialty Sonography students are eligible to sit for abdomen and obstetrics/gynecology examinations administered by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers (ARDMS).

Modul program

The course modules for the program prerequisites are College Algebra 3, College Physics 3, English Composition 3, Medical Terminology 1, Human Anatomy and Physiology I with Lab 4. The course modules for the prerequisites offered at NMC in summer session are SS 215 Life Span Psychology 3, SC226/L Human Anatomy and Physiology II with Lab 4. The course modules for the pre-fall session are SO 102 Foundations of Sonography 2. The course modules for the first year fall semester are HU 150 The World of Ideas: Critical Reasoning and Rhetoric 3, SC 206 Pathophysiology/Pharmacology 4, SO 108 Intro to Sonography and Patient Care 5, SO Intro to Cardiovascular Sonography and Patient Care Lab 2. The course modules for the first year spring semester are HU The World of Ideas: Elective 3, SO 262 Applied Sectional Anatomy in Imaging 1, SO 260 Medical Ethics and Law in imaging 1, SO 115 Clinical Practicum I 2, SO 233 Sonographic Anatomy, Pathology and Critique I 5, SO 214 Sonographic Physics I 2. The course modules for the second year summer semester are SO 237 Sonographic Clinical Practicum II 4, SO 239 Sonographic Anatomy, Pathology and Critique II 6, S0 216 Sonographic Physics II 1. Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Admission requirements include High school graduate or GED equivalent, with a GPA of 2.5 or above. Required courses are: algebra, biology, chemistry (completed with a “C” grade or above) to be completed in high school or at college level; prerequisites of College Algebra, College Physics and College English Composition. The applicants should have an ACT composite 20 or above or SAT 950 critical reading and mathematics scores (if within 2 years of high school graduation), a College GPA of 2.5 or above (cumulative) earned at a regionally accredited institution (courses considered for transfer must be completed with a “C” grade or above). They must meet program technical standards. Job shadowing experience recommended and documentation may be submitted with application.
