Ringkasan program
This program begins with courses surveying the broad range of visual expressions found in a variety of cultures throughout the world. Students are introduced to numerous methodological approaches contextual, formal, and iconographic, for example which enable them to understand the richness and layered meanings of works of art.
Modul program
The modules are as follows: Thirty credits in Art History, including six credits from ARTH 005, ARTH 006 and ARTH 008; twelve credits to include three credits from each of four different categories (ARTH 196 courses in these categories also qualify): Ancient and Medieval (ARTH 146, ARTH 148, ARTH 149, ARTH 155), Early Modern European (ARTH 158, ARTH 161, ARTH 164, ARTH 165), Modern, American, and Canadian (ARTH 170, ARTH 172, ARTH 174, ARTH 177, ARTH 180), Asian (ARTH 185, ARTH 187, ARTH 188, ARTH 192), Other Non-Western Traditions, New Approaches to Art History, and Contemporary Art (ARTH 140, ARTH 179, ARTH 189, ARTH 199); twelve additional Art History credits, to include at least one course (three credits) numbered 282 or above to be taken during the junior or senior year, preferably during the senior year. Six credits of Studio Art; the study of a foreign language through 51-52. French or German is strongly recommended for students considering eventual graduate work in Art History.

Students must have minimum entry requirements: four years of English; three years of mathematics (Algebra I, Algebra II and geometry (or equivalents); two years of the same foreign language (American Sign Language meets this requirement); two years of a natural or physical science, including a laboratory science; three years of social sciences. International students should have a minimum acceptable TOEFL score of both 550 for the paper-based and 79-80 for the iBT and a minimum of IELTS score of 6.5 is required for admission.
