The Department of Accountancy offers a major in accountancy within the bachelor of business administration degree. In addition to the BBA, ETSU also offers a Master of Accountancy degree. The mission of the Department of Accountancy is to produce internationally competitive graduates capable of succeeding in their chosen profession by offering timely, relevant, high-quality educational services; provide leadership supporting the accountancy profession, business, government, and obtain national and international recognition in teaching, research and service.

Campus living is an integral part of the total educational experience at East Tennessee State University. On campus living offers a wealth of opportunities for residents to experience individual growth and development. The staff of the Department of Housing and Residence Life at East Tennessee State University welcomes the unique opportunity of providing residents with activities that increase their understanding of diversity and enhance their social and emotional well-being. There are numerous benefits which come from on-campus living. Residence hall facilities offer a variety of features to suit the individual needs. All rooms are equipped with Twin Beds, Mini Blinds, Closets, Chairs, Room Sinks, Desks, Storage Space with Drawers, Cable Television Hookup, Telephone Connection (student must supply telephone), Internet Access. Additional features available to most students include air conditioning. All halls have kitchen facilities, laundry facilities, carpeted hallways, vending machines, outside bicycle racks, and a common lounge/lobby area equipped with a color television. Living on campus offers more opportunities for students to meet people and develop friendships. When the cost for on-campus living is compared to transportation cost, deposits, and monthly rent for off-campus housing, the cost of living on campus is generally much lower. Students may also elect to pay semester rent and fees in three installments.
