Ringkasan program
The Law, Economics and Policy option is an interdisciplinary program drawing from political science and philosophy courses as well as economics. This option serves students interested in public service or advanced study in law or public policy. Students will learn a set of quantitative and analytical skills that will allow them to make sense of and draw conclusions from real world data, understand and appreciate how incentives influence human behavior and how this behavior affects markets and economies, become a rigorous and logical thinker, able to apply these abilities to a wide variety of real world occupations. Job titles of Economics graduates include the following: financial analyst, staff accountant, business analyst, management consultant, financial controller, economist, financial advisor, securities trader, loan officer, marketing research analyst, investment banker, forecaster, project manager.

The following are the modules: Economics Core (28 credits),Additional Requirements (19 credits), Four of the following courses, at least two from Economics (16 credits): ECON 414. Political and Behavioral Economics (4), ECON 435. The Public Economy (4), ECON 439. Public Policy Analysis (4) - not if used for WIC, ECON 461. Law, Economics, and Regulation (4) - Online Spring 2012, PHL 321. Deductive Logic (4), PS 321. American Constitutional Law (4) - Prereq: PS 201, PS 326. Judicial Process and Politics (4), PS 371. Public Policy Problems (4), PS 479. Topics in Public Policy and Public Administration (4), One additional course in Economics, at the 400-level.

Applicants must have an excellent academic record (a minimum 3. 0 on a 4.0 scale or "B" grade average or equivalent) from an accredited or recognized institution to be admitted to Oregon State University. International students must have the following GPA scores: Paper score of 550; Internet score of 80 (Minimum score of 16 on each section) and IELTS score of 6.5.
