This program combines comprehensive business skills with an in-depth understanding of the sport industry. Students obtain important connections to jobs, internships and service opportunities to supplement their classroom discussion about how local teams put principles into practice. The program focuses on the essentials in sport finance, law and marketing, as well as on the economics of this dynamic industry. Coursework also covers sport facility management and at the same time, the program emphasizes the importance of developing strong written and oral communication skills. Students also study business ethics to enhance future decision making.

The modules include SPRT 130 Introduction to Sport Management, SPRT 320 Social Aspects of Sport Management, SPRT 330 Economics of Sport, SPRT 335 Fundamentals of Sport Finance, SPRT 339 Sports Facility Management and Operations, SPRT 345 Globalization of the Sport Industry, SPRT 350 Internship Program ((Elective credit only, will not count towards major or minor), SPRT 365 Fundamentals of Sport Marketing, SPRT 375 Sport Media, SPRT 380 Legal Aspects of Sport Management, SPRT 395 Independent Study.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students must have completed high school preparatory curriculum with four years of English (required); three to four years of math; three years of social science; two or more years of foreign language; three to four years of natural or physical science (with lab). Also applicants whose first or native language is not English must demonstrate their proficiency with a minimum of 79 on the TOEFL exam or a 6.5 on the IELTS, 550 on the written test or 213 on the computer-based test.
