Ringkasan program
This is an important subject. Students who are interested in health sciences such as medicine, pharmacy, dentistry, and related fields need to take several semesters of chemistry. Students who like scientific and technical subjects, and who have a solid math and science background from high school are best prepared to major in chemistry. Students completing the B.A. in chemistry generally plan to use chemistry as a study field that complements areas such as law, library science, technical writing, public relations, or sales. Students are encouraged to participate in undergraduate research.

Students must have completed high school diploma or a GED. In addition, the individual has attempted fewer than 26 semester (39 quarter) credits at a post-secondary institution. If a student is graduating from high school and has less than 26 semester credits, she/he will be considered a new entering freshman, allowing the student to be considered for merit scholarships and participation in Academic Orientation. High school students should have completion of a minimum of the following courses: 4 years English, 3 years math (including a minimum of algebra, intermediate algebra, and geometry), 3 years science (1 year each of biological and physical science), 3 years social studies (including U.S. history) and 2 years single second language. Scores from either the ACT or SAT exams including writing is required. International students must have minimum TOEFL scores of 550 Written, 213 Computer, 80 Internet (iBT) or an IELTS score of 6.5.
