Ringkasan program
This program s designed to provide individuals with the opportunity to prepare for (1) further study in the fields of the humanities, social science, law and education; (2) careers in community programs and teaching at all levels; and (3) advance study in Chicana/o Studies fields. Chicana/o Studies offers a variety of courses from a number of disciplines. These courses are designed to provide knowledge about the Mexican-origin population, its history, literature, culture, social issues, demographics, and language.
Modul program
The courses are - 3301 La Chicana, 3302 Chicano Cinema, 3303 The Border Image in Mexican Film, 3304 Chicano/Latino Music in the U.S., 3311 Chicano Studies: Societal Issues, 3339 Cultural Diversity and Youth in the U.S., 4301 Chicano Legal History, 4304 Environmental Justice and Minority Communities in the U.S., 4306 Colonias on the U.S.-Mexico Border, 4307 Hispanic Entrepreneurship, 4350 Topics in Chicano Studies, 4450 Topics in Chicano Studies.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students applying for this program must have official transcripts from the schools or colleges attended. If English is the secondary language of the students then they must write SAT or Act exams. If English is not the secondary language of the students then they must write TOEFL exams. Applicants whose primary language is Spanish and who lack the proficiency in English must write PAA (Prueba de Aptitud Academica). The minimum required test scores: for - SAT 920, for ACT - 20 and for TOEFL - 500. For Spanish students the minimum TOEFL score is 1000. These test scores must be sent to the university directly by the testing agency.
