Ringkasan program

This program in administration and supervision concentration is for students who seek to work with school-aged children and youth in Department of Early Education and Care (EEC) programs as out-of-school-time leaders, or in enrichment and community service programs will benefit from this concentration. Students will develop skills appropriate to supporting children and youth learning in informal settings, as well as forging links with and between families and community resources.

The program modules are as follows: Sheltered English Instruction, Youth Education in Out-of-School, Settings through Community Based and Youth Service Organizations, ANTH L301 Childhood in America, PSYCH 350 Learning and Memory, Social 201 Youth and Society, Social 242 the Family, Social 336 Sociology of Education, Social 440 Sociology of Knowledge, AMST 350 Race, Class, Gender.

Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional

Students should have completed four years of English, three years of college preparatory mathematics (algebra II is a minimum requirement), two years of the same foreign language, three years of science (including two with a laboratory component), two years of social science including one course in U.S. history, and two electives from the above areas, arts and humanities, or computer science. In addition, they must have a minimum TOEFL score of 550-600 on the paper test, 213-250 on the computer-based test, or 79-80 on the TOEFL IBT test, IELTS score of 6.0 or better and SAT or ACT scores are also required. Non-native speakers with a SAT-I verbal score of 400 or higher do not need to take the TOEFL.
