Ringkasan program
With a strong commitment to the arts and humanities, as well as to developing the essential skills of analysis, inquiry, research, and expression, the English department prepares students for a variety of professions that range from teaching to law, publication to management, public administration to technical writing. In the major, students can specialize in literature, writing, language and linguistics, or secondary teaching.
Persyaratan masuk bagi mahasiswa internasional
Students must have a 3.0 (weighted/unweighted) GPA in the academic courses in order to be admitted to the University of Nevada. Students must be graduate of an approved or accredited high school. The minimum scores required for admission are: Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 61 (iBT-Internet-Based Test), 500 (Paper-Based Test), or 173 (Computer-Based Test). International English Language Testing System (IELTS- must be academic version) with an equivalency score of 6. Completion of English 101 or equivalent from another U.S. higher education institution.
